I own all his previous albums, but this is his worst Album so far, except someone buys it for me, i cant use my hard earned money to pay for it, uh uh, not worth it.... sometimes i wonder where Dre was when this album was produced. Disappointing!!
Eminem is hailed by many as the greatest rapper ever. He can destroy anyone verbally(remember the ICP beef, which he stomped their career into the dirt, as well as Limp Bizkit and Everlast?) He has won countless grammys and broken many sales records.

Well, that Eminem died somewhere in his 4 year hiatus. His staccato-style, horrible accent-infused rapping (We Made You, My Mom, almost every other track) becomes a bore after you hear it about six hundred times. There are also the annoying skits present on every album, for instance with his lawyer Paul Rosenberg, that are just there to up the track count. There's only four songs I would recommend for die hard old school Em fans: Medicine Ball, Underground, Beautiful (the best introspective song ever recorded by a rap artist) and Deja Vu.

There is a nice side though. Despite having two songs about his twisted family (My Mom, Insane), He does not mention Kim (THANK GOD!) throughout the entire album, and he doesn't rap a love song to Hailey, and last but not least, he doesn't bitch about his mom in every single track. Most of the backing music on the album is actually very good.

As far as Eminem goes, this album is in the middle. Despite the million and one drug references (nearly every song), he still smashes any other rapper releasing music right now.

Worth a buy at a discounted price. If you don't already own them, buy one of the previous records.

Eminem is back from the dead. Good CD, if you are a fan of the first 3 cd buy this one
This is crap. The beats are garbage. Vocals suck too. Who buys this? His first album was good, that's it. Don't waste your cash. I laughed when I heard that this was the favorite to win album of the year grammy. And of course it won over good albums from Common and Q Tip.
I have been an eminem fan for years and i do believe he is the best rapper of all time. this album is definitely different from any of his other main albums, but it has a lot of bright spots on it. personaally, i had to give it some time because i felt that eminem was continuing to go downhill after his worst album, Encore. when i heard 3 AM, Crack a Bottle, and We Made You, i was very disappointed and thought that this would be the first eminem album that i never get. it seemed as though eminem was growing away from his original edgy, hardcore, emotional, controversial rap to becoming more theatric and just crude. in other words, for those of you who just discovered eminem, then you will love this album, but if knew eminem back to the marshall mathers/slim shady days then you will know what i mean. but, i was wrong. this album is very entertaining at worst, but it definitely has some good unique rapping on this album. he does have a little more production than usual though. out of his albums i'll show you the new order:
1. Marshall Mathers LP
2. The Eminem Show
3. Slim Shady LP
4. RELAPSE
5. Encore

Now for the song by song:

1 DR West 2/5
kinda funny skit i guess..
2 3 AM 2.5/5
at first i hated this song because em's voice was weird and i didn't get the whole horror thing. the horror thing actually becomes a reoccuring theme on the album. i did kinda like the beat, but it is simple, like most beats on the album(this album is to showcase em's raps anyway). the lyrics are kind of interesting.
3 My Mom 2/5
from the title i expected something serious. instead it is just a dumb drug/slash bashing mom song. em has done a lot better at bashing his mom in previous songs. overall this song is pretty dumb.
4 Insane 3.5/5
don't ask me why, but i do think this song can be funny. it's really crude and over the top, but em does get on a roll in this song.
5 Bagpipes from baghdad 2/5
the title tells you that this song is dumb.
6 Hello 3.5
i like this song lyrically and em always has a song in the middle of the album where he kinda introduces himself. decent song.
7 Tonya 2/5
unamusing skit, but sets up the next song.
8 Same Song and Dance 4/5
this song is em doing dark love storytelling with a good beat. good and interesting song
9 We Made You 3.5/5
his usual funny big hit. made for the general publis, but his pop culture references are undeniably funny. reminded me of ain't nuthin but music. it will get on your nerves after a couple listens though.
10 Medicine Ball 4/5
what's up with this dumb titles?? i like the christopher reeves part at the end. this song has a good pace to it though throughout.
11 Paul 2/5
every album has a paul skit. they are usually the same, but i can't hate tradition.
12 Stay Wide Awake 4/5
kind of like medicine ball, but not as funny. em gets on a lyrical roll in this one and the chorus is pretty good.
13 Old Time's Sake 4/5
gotta love em and dre on the track. dre sounds good and em follows up good too.
14 Must Be the Ganja 3/5
em's ode to drugs. kind of has no purpose, but is ok.
15 MR Mathers 2/5
like this, but not much to it. sets up the next song too
16 Deja Vu 4/5
one of the best songs lyrically and talks about his recent drugs troubles. i wanted him to do this song and he did a good job
17 Beautiful 5/5
the way this song starts out is amazing. this is em at his best. lyrically hard, best beat on the album, great chorus, great meaning, not the best on the album though.
18 Crack a Bottle 0/5
Em wtf were you thinking man. This song is not em. it shouldn't be a hit, it is not only the worst song on the album, but clearly the worst song eminem has ever done. em can make club hits doing his own style. this is like a 50 cent song, not eminem. major disappointment
19 Steve Berman 3/5
i always like this skit, it is the best one on ems albums. i knew what to expect though
20 Underground 5/5
em kills it on this song. he dominated with every line. this song is just all around strong
